A supply chain resilience model for business continuity: The way forward for highly regulated industries

The COVID-19 outbreak is a black swan event that has uncovered the delicateness of global supply chains and business architecture. Underpinned by agency theory institutional theory, proposition for continuity in highly regulated pharma industry presented this paper. A cross-sectional quantitative study was carried out on sample 102 chain executives Malaysia. primary data were gathered administering self-administered questionnaire analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). result reveals orientation directly influences resilience. Also, introducing collaborative regulation as mediator relationship shows mediation. notion behavioral governance mechanism relatively new, thus, presenting interesting opportunities further exploration subject matter.
